The NGO – Cyber Jagrithi – has taken up this initiative on the occasion of Cyber Awareness Month
Hyderabad: Cyber Jagrithi Foundation is organizing Cyber Vakeel, an online awareness campaign covering a multitude of themes on cyber-crimes with an aim to create awareness on cyber laws in India to different sections of the society. The 30-day campaign has topics like Cyber Terrorism around the World, How to Use Social Media Safely, Online Dating Frauds and Safety Measures and Data Protection Bill in India among others.
The NGO – Cyber Jagrithi – has taken up this initiative on the occasion of Cyber Awareness Month which is specially designed for legal professionals, including advocates, law professors, research scholars, and budding lawyers to give them an insight in the field of cyber-crimes and how it can be effectively dealt by organising workshops, sessions, training and activities by some of the top-notch legal personalities in India.
The inaugural ceremony on October 1 had Telangana Industries and IT department principal secretary Jayesh Ranjan speaking about the need for digital awareness in the sub-urban and rural cities and outlining the different initiatives taken by the State in creating these awareness programmes. On October 2, the campaign saw Ahmar Afaq from Symbiosis Law School giving insights on the various attacks that happened in the past and explaining various Cyber Laws like Section 66F of IT ACT 2000 which every internet user should be aware of.
