The incident happened as the baby’s mother was busy appearing for the Group-II examination on Monday. As part of the second day of the examination, the mother had came to appear for the examination at the Damika Degree College in Vemulawada, leaving her two-month-old daughter with her mother-in-law.
However, after a little while, the baby began crying and the elderly woman was finding it difficult to manage her. It was then that a home guard, Shehnaz, who was on duty at the examination centre, stepped in.
Shehnaz took the baby into her arms and slowly sat with her, playing with her on her lap and slowly, the baby stopped crying and began playing with Shehnaz.
