Telangana: Municipal contractor found dead in Paloncha; suicide suspected

Kothagudem: A municipal contractor allegedly died by suicide at Sitarampatnam in Paloncha mandal of Bhadradri Kothagudem district on Wednesday.

The deceased, J Sudhakar, a resident of Adarsh Nagar in Gattaigudem and a former serviceman, was found dead by morning walkers on a ground near the Vidyut Employees Colony. According to initial reports, Sudhakar, who was executing municipal contracts, had left home on Tuesday night for work.

A car and a bottle of monocrotophos, a pesticide, were found near his body, indicating possible consumption of the chemical. The exact reasons for his suspected suicide remain unclear.

Paloncha Town police reached the scene after being alerted and shifted the body to the Government Area Hospital for post-mortem examination. A case has been registered, and an investigation is underway.
