Nine players — Prasidh, Advik, Sathya, Karthikeya, Sunkeyashik, Raghavendra, Gnaneswar, Sreekar and Likhith are in joint lead with three points from three rounds in the 229th Brilliant Trophy Open Chess Tournament

Hyderabad: Nine players — Prasidh Ambati, Advik Sahaya, Sathya Karthikeya, SSR Karthikeya, Sunkeyashik, Basava Raghavendra, Gnaneswar, Sreekar and Likhith Krishna — are in joint lead with three points from three rounds in the 229th Brilliant Trophy Open Chess Tournament (Junior category) at Brilliant Grammar High School (Dilsukhnagar) here on Saturday.
In the Open category, five players — Jayaditya Chepuri, Sreenandan Babu, Sarath Kumar, J Harender and Sankaranarayanan — were in the lead with three points out of three rounds, while Raman Kumar, N Venkatraman and JV Srikar are in second spot with 2.5 points out of three rounds.

3rd round: Junior category: Moukthika Ram (2) lost to Prasidh Ambati (3); 2.Advik Sahasya (3) bt Sanathan Nanda (2); Abdul Haseeb (2) lost to Sathya Karthikea (3); Adithya Reddy (2) lost to S.S.R Karthikeya (3); Anish Reddy (2) lost to Sunkeyashik (3).
