Sangareddy: Collector Valluru Kranthi, who made a surprise visit to the government hospital in Sangareddy on Tuesday, found that at least 10 doctors availed more casual leaves than they were eligible for. After examining the biometric attendance records, the Collector found that these doctors skipped duties without permission.
She asked the Superintendent of the hospital Dr Anil Kumar to surrender the doctors to the Director of Medical Education. The Collector asked him to serve notices on them seeking an explanation why action should not be taken against them for violating rules.
Kranthi also directed all the staff to be present on duty before 9.15 am. She warned that they would initiate stern action against the staff acting negligently during their duties.
The Collector also asked the management to ensure drinking water supply round the clock. Kranthi interacted with the patients and attendants to know the quality of the treatment being extended to them and also about the food being served to them.
The Collector inspected the physiotherapy and dental wards during her visit.
