Hyderabad: As many as One crore home isolation kits were being readied following instructions from Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao and under the guidance of Health Minister T Harish Rao.
Telangana State Medical Services and Infrastructure Development Corporation (TSMSIDC) chairman Dr Errolla Srinivas, who inspected the packaging of the isolation kits at Koti Victory playground on Friday, said these kits which come packed with seven medicines for those in home isolation on testing positive for Covid-19, were already being distributed to all districts.
The Health department was on a high alert in view of Covid cases rising in the State. Following the instructions of the Chief Minister, the Health department has initiated a door-to-door fever survey and the initiative is a role model for the entire country, he said.
Those testing Covid positive need not panic and there was no need to spend hard earned money at private hospitals for treatment, the chairman said.
Anyone with suspected symptoms should visit the nearest government public health centre or Basti Dawakhana and get tested, Dr Srinivas advised. If tested positive, they should use the medicine being provided by the State government. Health staff are also visiting homes and handing over these kits where required, he added.
