Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao on Saturday said the previous BRS government had taken all possible steps to improve medical facilities in the State. Telangana was probably the only State in the country, which had a government medical and nursing college in each and every single district, he said, emphasizing on the need to do more.
More primary, secondary, tertiary and super specialty hospitals were needed in Telangana, making the State number one in the country for medical facilities, he said while participating in the 2019 batch MBBS students’ convocation of Chalmeda Ananda Rao Institute of Medical Sciences here.
Doctors were going to face a big challenge in the future from Artificial Intelligence. Chat GPT and Grog were even writing scripts. A number of patients were approaching doctors with information given by AI and this number was going to increase in the future. Doctors would have to handle such patients carefully, he said, adding that 50 percent of diseases could be cured if doctors interacted with patients in a proper way, with mercy and sympathy.
“When I was child, my mother wanted me to become a doctor. BRS president K Chandrashekhar Rao used to tell me that doctors should work with a commitment to save lives of people by setting aside personal life and priorities,” Rama Rao recalled.
