Telangana: Over 8,600 skip Group-I Main exam

Hyderabad: Over 8,600 candidates skipped the Group – I services general English examination conducted on Monday. A total of 31,383 candidates picked up for Group – I Main examination. Additionally, 20 sports candidates were permitted to appear for the exam based on the High Court directions.
Out of 31,403 candidates, 22,744 appeared for the general English exam, translating attendance percentage to 72.4.
Releasing details, the TGPSC said the figures were subject to minor variation as the tentative attendance figures were collected from 46 centres on the go while the exam was in progress.
The exam was conducted in 46 centres in Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy and Medchal-Malkajgiri districts. The paper-1 general essay will be conducted on Tuesday.
