Hyderabad: The State government started the exercise of sorting out grievances being faced by people while carrying out transactions on the Dharani portal, a one-stop destination for registering agriculture properties.
A Cabinet Sub-Committee constituted to discuss the modalities to be adopted for sorting out grievances met a few days ago and examined 34 different types of problems being faced by people. After studying every issue in detail, the committee identified 11 grievances.
The committee asked officials of the Revenue Department to come up with solutions to the 11 problems so that additional features could be included in the Dharani portal for the convenience of people to carry out transactions in a hassle-free manner.
Instructions were also issued to find out proper solutions and submit them before the committee, which is likely to meet again next week.
The major grievances, which were discussed during the meeting, include survey number not showing in Dharani, a mistake in extent, Pattadhar Passbook (PPB) not issued, agriculture land shown as Non-Agricultural Lands Assessment Act (NALA)/houses/house sites and the name is wrongly entered in the record, among others. Officials brought to the notice of the committee that a few amendments need to be made to the existing Acts to resolve certain grievances.
