Telangana: Paralysed man burnt alive in a fire accident in Kothagudem

Kothagudem: A bed-ridden man, suffering from paralysis, was burnt alive in a fire accident at TD Banjar of Annapureddypalle mandal in the district during wee hours on Thursday.
According to police, fire broke out in the house of the deceased, Shaik Ghouse Pasha (35) due to an electric short circuit while the family members were asleep in their thatched house, which was engulfed by fire within minutes and was reduced to ashes.
Pasha, who was confined to the bed due to paralysis, could not move and was burnt alive while his wife and three children escaped. The fire also damaged a nearby house of Shaik Yakub. The local tahsildar Jagadishwara Prasad and MPDO Mahalakshmi extended a financial assistance of Rs 5000 to each family along with 30 kg rice and other essentials.
Kothagudem DSP Shaik Abdul Rahaman visited the spot while SI Chandrashekar booked a case and took up investigation into the incident.
