Hyderabad: Principal Chief Conservator of Forest (PCCF) R Shobha said forest officials have to play an active role in nation development besides protecting forests and environment.
A 45-member team of forest officials, who are undergoing training at Coimbatore arrived in Telangana as part of their two-day field visit to the State. These officials have been selected as Assistant Conservator of Forests for respective States.
Officials from Maharashtra, Chattisgarh, Tamil Nadu, Mizoram and Uttar Pradesh participated in a meeting with the State PCCF here on Tuesday.
During the meeting, the PCCF shared details pertaining to Haritha Haram, forest conservation and rejuvenation, urban forests parks development, government policies and projects, with the officials.
