Hyderabad: Former Minister and senior politician E Peddi Reddy on Monday quit BJP due to what he described as a ‘changed political situation’ in the party.
In a resignation letter to BJP Telangana State president Bandi Sanjay Kumar, Reddy said: “My conscience is not permitting to continue in the party because of the changed political situation.” He thanked the national and State leadership for giving him an opportunity to work as an ordinary worker in the party. Reddy, who was a minister during TDP’s tenure before 2004, joined the BJP in 2019. He was one of the confidants of the former Home Minister T Devender Goud. Reddy was the second senior leader who quit the BJP within a week.
On Friday, former Minister and senior BJP leader Motkupalli Narasimhulu resigned from the BJP stating that the party had failed to give him proper recognition.
