Karimnagar: An audio and video of a circle inspector from Huzurabad division accepting Rs 3 lakh bribe is making rounds on social media platforms.

Though the audio and video have been circulated, there was no evidence. Moreover, police officials have also not responded to the issue.

According to the audio, the police officer accepted an amount of Rs 3 lakh bribe from the caller to avoid the registration of a case under SC/ST atrocities Act. How could the police officer registered the case even after accepting the bribe, the person was heard questioning the CI in the audio.

“How can you (CI) register an SC/ST atrocity case even after taking Rs 3 lakh bribe. Based on your instructions, I put the amount in the washroom of your office. I recorded the entire episode with a pen camera. But, you are not aware about it”, the person questioned CI.

Responding to the issue, Huzurabad MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy decided to a lodge complaint with DGP, ACB DG and IG against Jammikunt CI Ravi.

Not only Jammikunta circle office, irregularities have also taken place in ACP office. It was not proper on the part of the police to take bribes by wearing a police uniform, he alleged. He wanted the police officials to take action against CI.
