Telangana: Polling being held smoothly for six MLC seats
The elections were announced for 12 MLC seats for LACs in the State. The ruling TRS secured unanimous election in six MLC seats, while the polling became inevitable in the remaining six MLC seats.

Hyderabad: Polling is being held smoothly for the six MLC seats for Local Authorities’ Constituencies (LACs) in five erstwhile districts of Telangana on Friday. The polling commenced at 8 am and will conclude at 4 pm. The counting of votes will be held on December 14, followed by announcement of winners on the same day.
The elections were announced for 12 MLC seats for LACs in the State. The ruling TRS secured unanimous election in six MLC seats, while the polling became inevitable in the remaining six MLC seats. The polling is being held in five erstwhile districts – Karimnagar, Adilabad, Nalgonda, Medak and Khammam.
In all, 26 candidates are contesting the election. A total of 5,326 people are exercising their voting right in 37 polling stations set up in the respective constituencies.The polling process is being conducted in compliance with the Covid-19 norms. Strong security arrangements have been made at the polling stations to prevent any untoward incidents.
