Telangana: POLYCET 2021 commences at 411 centres

A total of 1,02,496 students including 58,616 boys and 43,880 girls registered for the entrance test this year.

Hyderabad: The Polytechnic Common Entrance Test (POLYCET) 2021 commenced smoothly across the State amid the Covid-19 safety protocols on Saturday.

The test which is being held at 411 exam centres began at 11 am and will end at 1.30 pm.


A total of 1,02,496 students including 58,616 boys and 43,880 girls registered for the entrance test this year.

The POLYCET is conducted for admissions into diploma programmes in engineering/technology and non-engineering courses offered at government/aided/unaided polytechnic institutions.

Similarly, admissions into diploma programmes in agriculture offered by Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University and diploma programmes in animal husbandry and fisheries offered by PV Narsimha Rao Telangana Veterinary University will be done through the POLYCET ranks.

This year, ranks in the POLYCET will be used for admitting students into six-year integrated (2+4) undergraduate BTech programmes in various disciplines offered by Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies (RGUKT), Basar.

TS POLYCET results to be out in 10-12 days

Hyderabad: The results of Telangana State Polytechnic Common Entrance Test (TS POLYCET) 2021 conducted on Saturday will be announced within 10 to 12 days.

A total of 1,02,496 candidates registered for the entrance test and of them 92,556 candidates appeared translating attendance percentage to 90.30, TS POLYCET convener Dr. C Srinath said in a press release.

The exam was conducted at 411 centres across the State from 11 am to 1.30 pm. A key would be issued on Monday or Tuesday, he said.

The TS POLYCET is conducted for admissions into diploma programmes in engineering/technology and non-engineering courses offered at government/aided/unaided polytechnic institutions.

Similarly, admissions into diploma programmes in agriculture offered by Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University and diploma programmes in animal husbandry and fisheries offered by PV Narsimha Rao Telangana Veterinary University will be done through the TS POLYCET ranks.
