Hyderabad: The State Board of Technical Education and Training (SBTET) on Wednesday announced the results of the Telangana State Polytechnic Common Entrance Test (TS POLYCET) 2021.
Out of 1,02,496 candidates who registered for the entrance test, 92,557 candidates had appeared. Of these, 75,666 students qualified in the MPC stream and 70,736 qualified in the MBiPC stream.
The ranking has been assigned to candidates separately for MPC and MBiPC streams based on total marks secured in TS POLYCET-2021, the SBTET said.
Abdul Rahman Mujtaba Hashmi, who appeared for the entrance test in the MPC stream in Nizamabad district has bagged the first rank by securing 118 out of 120 marks. Likewise, Kalakuntla Rishika who took the test in the MBiPC stream in Siddipet district secured the first rank by scoring 117 marks.
The POLYCET is conducted for admissions into diploma programmes in engineering/technology and non-engineering courses offered at government/aided/unaided polytechnic institutions. An admission notification for web counselling for admissions into polytechnics in the State has been issued by the SBTET on Wednesday.
Similarly, admissions into diploma programmes in agriculture offered by Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University and diploma programmes in animal husbandry and fisheries offered by PV Narsimha Rao Telangana Veterinary University will be through the POLYCET ranks. Both the universities will issue separate notifications for admission counselling.
This year, ranks in the POLYCET will be used for admitting students into six-year integrated (2+4) undergraduate BTech programmes in various disciplines offered by Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies (RGUKT), Basar and a separate admission counselling notification will be issued by the university.
