Telangana: Pressure bomb goes off, youth injured in Cherla
According to police the incident occurred at a mango orchard where the Maoists have displayed a poster on a tree.

Kothagudem: A youth got injured when an improvised explosive device (IED) exploded near Lenin Colony in Cherla mandal in the district on Monday.
According to police the incident occurred at a mango orchard where the Maoists have displayed a poster on a tree. It was said that the youth, Alam Brahma Naidu on spotting the poster went to the spot on his bike to read its contents and to capture a picture on his phone, then the pressure bomb exploded.
On learning about the incident Cherla police rushed to the spot and shifted the injured youth to Government Area Hospital at Bhadrachalam for treatment. He suffered a bleeding injury on his right leg and his condition was said to be stable.
The IED was planted in the earth close to the tree on which the poster was displayed and the weight of the bike triggered the pressure bomb to explode, the impact of which threw the youth and his bike down.
The pressure bomb, which targetted at the police, was planted in such a way that anyone who attempts to remove it would be hit by the explosion. Normally Maoists plant and display posters at isolated places but the exploded IED was planted very near to the village, police explained.
