Telangana primary teachers seek relief from Class X invigilation work
The SGT Union of Telangana has requested that primary school teachers be exempted from SSC Public Examination duties, citing disruption of teaching. The union also sought increased remuneration for teachers involved in Class X answer script evaluation.

Hyderabad: The Secondary Grade Teachers (SGT) Union, Telangana, demanded that the State government exempt primary school teachers from SSC Public Examinations invigilation duties.
In a representation submitted to School Education department director, Dr E Naveen Nicolas, here on Saturday, SGT union K Mahipal Reddy said several primary schools have only two or three teachers on rolls.
When the teachers are assigned for Class X examinations duty at the end of the academic year, it disrupts regular teaching in primary schools, he said and wanted primary-level teachers to be exempted from such examination work.
Reddy also sought enhancement of special remuneration for teachers attending the Class X answer scripts evaluation work at the designated centres.
