Hyderabad: Covid positive patients from other States seeking treatment in Telangana will need a prior tie-up with hospitals here for admissions. The hospitals in turn will have to apply for authorisation, based on which the patients will come for hospitalisation, according to the new guidelines issued by the State government on Thursday.
With a large number of Covid patients from many States coming here in ambulances for admission and treatment, the guidelines were issued to streamline the entire process of hospitalisation of such patients. On receiving a tie-up request from such patients, the hospitals in Telangana have to apply in prescribed format with details of the patient, and the control room set up for the purpose will issue an authorisation to travel based on which the patient can come for hospitalisation, the guidelines issued by the Chief Secretary, Somesh Kumar on Thursday said.
In absence of prior tie-up with hospitals here, the patients not only lose valuable time moving from one hospital to another but also potentially spread Covid infection, the guidelines said. Hospitals in Telangana will have to apply to the control room (040-24651119), 9494438251 (WhatsApp) and email: idsp@telangana.gov.in.
