Telangana: Private travels bus catches fire

The private travel bus was heading to Hyderabad from Bengaluru and suddenly the rear tyre burst and flames caught up the vehicle

Mahabubnagar: It was a close shave for 40 passengers travelling in a private travels bus as the vehicle caught fire near Malleboinpally on the national highway 44 under Jadcherla mandal on Monday morning.

The private travel bus was heading to Hyderabad from Bengaluru and suddenly the rear tyre burst and flames caught up the vehicle. As thick smoke enveloped the vehicle, passengers immediately alighted the bus and ran for safety.

Save for minor injuries to a few passengers, all the others managed to escape unhurt. After learning about the incident, the police rushed to the spot and fire tenders were pressed into service to douse the flames, reports said.
