Hyderabad: The Kotha Telangana Charitra Brundam (KTCB), in collaboration with the Department of Language and Culture, is organizing a history seminar titled ‘Telangana Punardarshanam’ (Re-envisioning Telangana) at Ravindra Bharathi on January 10, 2026.
Telangana is a land of untold stories, ranging from prehistoric rock shelters to distinct architectural marvels. The seminar aims to bridge the gap between past discoveries and modern interpretations, a press release said.
Scholars and historians have been invited to study in detail the re-envisioning of the state’s history. The key themes include Archaeological Marvels, exploring the Stone Ages in Telangana and the distinct rock paintings that depict early human life.
The other aspects include a critical study of inscriptions, languages and coins to understand the economic and social fabric of earlier times, analysing Telangana’s history as seen in its literature, along with a study of its unique architecture and sculpture.
A comparative study of Indian history vis a vis Telangana history to understand the region’s contribution to the national narrative is also planned.
The preparatory committee has invited original research papers from historians, scholars and enthusiasts on the above themes, a press release by Sriramoju Haragopal (9949498698), along with Katta Srinivas, BV Bhadragirish, Balagam Rammohan and Byroju Shyamsunder, said.
