Hyderabad: Resident Medical Officer (RMO) at Nirmal District Hospital, Dr Venu Gopala Krishna was conferred with the prestigious Telangana Rashtra Saarwabhowma award 2020 by the State Tourism, according to a press release here on Friday.
Recently, the senior doctor also had received Vaidya Shiromani award 2021.
The senior Covid specialist was also awarded the Corona Warrior National Award by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India.
He previously worked as the District Coordinator of Hospital Services (DCHS), Adilabad and was Superintendent of Khanapur and Utnur government Hospitals in Adilabad district. The senior health official has also avoided private practice and dedicated his entire time and energies to provide services to the poor patients in government hospitals.
Dr Venu not only worked towards raising awareness about Covid-19 during the lockdown, but also took care of the patients admitted in isolation wards during the period. He has received over 25 awards for his services towards the poor, especially in Adilabad and Nirmal.
The doctor conducted several medical camps and blood donations camps and has personally donated blood on 53 different occasions.
