Telangana reels under cold wave condition
Telangana faces severe cold wave conditions, with 13 locations recording single-digit temperatures. The state’s average minimum dropped to 12.9°C, with IMD issuing a yellow warning. Hyderabad is expected to see slightly below-normal temperatures in the coming days.

Hyderabad: Several places in Telangana continue to reel under severe cold wave conditions, with 13 locations recording on Tuesday morning.
The lowest temperature of 7 degree Celsius was registered in Sirpur, Kumuram Bheem – Asifabad district, in the State
At 7.1 degree Celsius, Kohir mandal in Sangareddy district continued to face cold weather conditions. The other areas where less than 10 degree Celsius temperatures were observed– Sonala (7.7) in Adilabad, Bantwaram (8.1) in Vikarabad, Ibrahimpatnam (8.2) in Rangareddy, Rudrangi (8.4) in Rajanna Sircilla, Bibipet (8.5) in Kamareddy, Rayapole (8.6) in Siddipet, Makloor (8.9) in Nizamabad, Bheemaram (9.0) in Jagtial, Havelighanpur (9.3) in Medak, Kuntala (9.4) in Nirmal and Balanagar (9.9) in Mahabubnagar.
According to the Telangana Development Planning Society, the State’s average minimum temperature was 12.9 degree Celsius on Tuesday as against the normal 19.4 degree Celsius, which is a departure of -6.6 degree Celsius. The average minimum temperature is 18.2 degree Celsius in November.
As for the districts, Adilabad recorded a lowest average minimum temperature of 10.4 degree Celsius, a -6.4 departure from the normal. The highest departure of -7.3 degree Celsius was observed in Vikarabad district where average minimum temperature was 10.9 degree Celsius as against the normal of 18.2 degree Celsius.
Among the areas falling under the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation, the lowest minimum temperature of 8.8 degree Celsius was observed at the University of Hyderabad, Rangareddy district. The lowest minimum temperature of 7.0 degree Celsius was registered at Moinabad in Rangreddy district on November 20, 2016.
In its weather bulletin released on November 17, the India Meteorological department issued a yellow warning, stating that cold wave conditions are very likely to prevail at isolated pockets in the districts of Adilabad, Kumuram Bheem-Asifabad, Nirmal, Sangareddy and Medak.
As for Hyderabad weather, the IMD said minimum temperatures are likely to be below normal by 2 degree Celsius to 3 degree Celsius during the next couple of days. Maximum and minimum Temperatures are likely to be around 29 degree Celsius and 14 degree Celsius.
