Telangana reports 163 fresh Covid cases, one death

Between Friday and Saturday, 23,607 Covid tests were conducted in the State and reports of another 692 samples were awaited.

Hyderabad: Telangana has recorded 163 new Covid-19 infections with one fatality on Saturday, taking the cumulative number fatalities to 1,624 and the total number of positive cases is 2,97,598. As on Saturday, there were 1,731 active Covid-19 cases in the State.

A total of 146 persons recovered on Saturday taking the cumulative Covid-19 recoveries in the State to 2,94,243 with a recovery rate of 98.87 per cent, while the countrywide recovery rate was 97.2 per cent.


Between Friday and Saturday, 23,607 Covid tests were conducted in the State and reports of another 692 samples were awaited. So far, a total of 84,56,940 Covid-19 tests have been conducted in the State out of which 2,97,598 have tested positive and 2,94,243 persons have recovered.

The Covid-19 positive cases reported from the districts included four from Adilabad, six from Bhadradri, 29 from areas under GHMC, six from Jagtiyal, one from Jangaon, two from Bhupalpally, one from Gadwal, 10 from Karimnagar, three each from Khammam and Asifabad, five from Mahabubnagar, one from Mahabubabad, seven from Mancherial, two from Medak, 11 from Medchal Malkajgiri, two from Mulugu, six from Nalgonda, one from Nirmal, three from Nizamabad, five from Peddapalli, three from Siricilla, 12 from Rangareddy, six from Sangareddy, eight from Siddipet, five from Suryapet, three each from Vikarabad and Wanaparthy, four from Warangal Rural, eight from Warangal Urban and three from Bhongir.
