Telangana reports 1825 Covid cases, 1042 from GHMC on Monday

Hyderabad: The daily Covid-19 positive cases driven by the Omicron variant in Telangana has continued with health authorities on Monday reporting 1825 positive cases out of which 1042 positive infections were from areas under GHMC. Health officials have also reported a fatality on Monday, which has taken the overall number of deaths in TS to 4,043.

The Omicron variant Covid infections are also registering a significant increase in other urban centres of Telangana with 201 positive infections in Medchal-Malkajgiri and 147 Rangareddy district.

The total number of positive cases so far in Telangana has reached 6,95,855 while the number of active cases as on Monday was 14,995.

The authorities on Monday conducted 70,697 Covid tests of which results of 12,948 samples were awaited. A total of 351 individuals have recovered with a recovery rate of 97. 26 per cent on Monday.

So far, a total of 3,01,94,585 Covid-19 tests have been conducted in the State out of which 6,95,855 have tested positive and 6,76,817 persons have recovered.
