Telangana: Rescue teams find bodies of three coal miners in Ramagundam
While the body of deputy manager Tejawath Chaitanya Teja was retrieved on Tuesday night, the remains of safety officer S Jayaraj and contractor worker Thota Srikanth were traced in the early hours on Wednesday.

Peddapalli: Rescuers found the bodies of three miners who were trapped under a sheet of coal rubble after the roof of an underground coal mine in Adriyal Longwall Project collapsed. With this development, the rescue operation has been called off on Wednesday even as a pall of gloom descended on the coal town. Three workers were extricated alive and shifted to hospitals earlier, by the rescue teams.
While the body of deputy manager Tejawath Chaitanya Teja was retrieved on Tuesday night, the remains of safety officer S Jayaraj and contractor worker Thota Srikanth were traced in the early hours on Wednesday.
Rescue teams brought the three bodies out of the mine and shifted to Godavarikhani Singareni Area hospital for postmortem.
On the other hand, Welfare Minister Koppula Eashwar got down into Adriyal Longwall Project and examined the accident spot on Tuesday night. He enquired about the incident by interacting with Singareni officials.
It may be recalled here that the roof at 86th level, LC-3 collapsed while taking up support work for the roof which collapsed a fortnight ago. Out of seven miners including two officers and five workers working at the accident spot, six were trapped under rubbles. A support man, Meesa Veeraiah escaped from the incident with minor injuries. Two miners Operator Jadi Venkatesh and Mining Sardar Pilli Naresh were rescued on Monday night and Badili Worker Ravinder on Tuesday afternoon.
