Karimnagar: A retired Sub-Inspector, Padi Raji Reddy died in a road accident that took place near Huzurabad town on Thursday early hours.
The incident occurred when a car wherein the deceased was traveling towards Warangal hit a roadside palm tree in the outskirts of Huzurabad town. He died on the spot.
A native of Nakkapalli, Nadikuda mandal of Warangal district, Raji Reddy worked in anti-naxals operation and SIB. He also worked as Police Officers’ Welfare Association district president.
After retirement, he was staying at Godamgadda area of Karimnagar town. He met with an accident while going to his native village on Thursday early hours. His daughter was settled in America.
Knowing about the incident, Huzurabad police rushed to the spot and began investigation by registering the case. Body was shifted to hospital for postmortem.
