Medak: Former Minister T Harish Rao said Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy came to power making several false promises which he could not implement until now.

The Chief Minister was continuing to repeat the same lies even 10 months after coming to power, he said.

Citing Revanth’s statement on the loans borrowed during the BRS regime, Rao said the BRS government borrowed just Rs.4.26 lakh crore, but Revanth said time and again the BRS government borrowed Rs 6.85 lakh crore.

Speaking to news reporters in Medak on Tuesday, Harish Rao further said Revanth Reddy had however took the figure to over Rs.7 lakh crore during the Praja Palana programme organised on the occasion of September 17.

Though he had clarified to every one in the assembly on the loans borrowed by the BRS government, Revanth Reddy continued to spread lies.

Rao lashed at the Chief Minister for projecting the State in a bad light in a bid to malign the BRS for political gain.

He suggested Revanth Reddy to change the way he was speaking against Telangana since no elections were coming soon. The former Minister said Telangana would get no investments if the Chief Minister himself tried to project the State in bad light.

He said the real estate sector crumbled in the State due to various decisions taken by Revanth Reddy’s government.

Saying that Telangana used to be always at the top in ease of doing business during the BRS regime, Harish Rao said the State’s name was not even among the top 10 States now.
