Nagarkurnool: After releasing Farmers Declaration, BC Declaration and numerous others during the Assembly elections, the Congress has now unveiled ‘Nallamala Declaration’ with promises to spend Rs 12,600 crore for upliftment of tribals and development of Nallamala region over next five years. Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy along with Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and other Ministers launched the Indira Soura Giri Jala Vikasam scheme at Macharam village in Amrabad mandal on Monday.

The scheme, covering 44.5 acres of RoFR land and benefiting 27 tribal farmers, focuses on land development, off-grid solar pump irrigation, and horticulture with drip irrigation. It will be scaled up over five years to benefit 2.1 lakh tribal farmers across 6 lakh acres, with an outlay of Rs 12,600 crore.

Speaking on the occasion, Revanth Reddy called the scheme a national model, promising to provide solar pump sets to all farmers in Achampet within 100 days. He also promised housing for all PVTG families and Rs 1,000 crore assistance to one lakh tribal youth for self-employment under the Rajiv Yuva Vikasam scheme.

He said the Congress government was supplying rice to 3.1 crore people, providing free electricity to 50 lakh families, and empowering SHG women with 1,000 MW solar production units.

“We are making our daughters compete with Adani and Ambani,” he remarked.
