Telangana revenue staffers seek transfer options

Hyderabad: Telangana Revenue Employees Services Association has requested Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar to give options to the employees with respect to various cadre posts in district, zonal and multi-zonal transfers.

Association president V Ravinder Reddy and general secretary K Gautam Kumar met Somesh Kumar on Tuesday and discussed various issues pertaining to employees.

The Association requested the State government to incorporate medical grounds option in the pro-forma along with spouse and physically challenged persons’ categories. Priority should be given to the employees, who are suffering from serious ailments including cancer, neuro, kidney and liver among other problems.

The government must decide the cadre strength to strengthen the Revenue Department apart from giving promotions, which are pending to the Deputy Collector and Special Grade Deputy Collectors.

The government must also provide transfer options to the probationary ‘nayab tahsildars’, who are working at far off places, along with the Village Revenue Officers.
