Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy said Telangana Rising 2047, the State’s long-term development roadmap, was formulated in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of Viksit Bharat by 2047. He said the Congress government had set a target of transforming Telangana into a $3-trillion economy, marking the centenary of Indian Independence.
Inaugurating the Samakhya Business Summit-2026 at HITEX on Wednesday, Revanth Reddy said Modi had set the goal of making India a developed nation by 2047 and stressed that achieving it required the cooperation of States. Telangana aimed to become a $1-trillion economy by 2034 and contribute 10 per cent of India’s GDP, up from its present share of about 5 per cent, he said.
Calling for cooperation across political lines on development, he said politics should be confined to election periods, and all stakeholders should work together to advance the country.
The Chief Minister said Hyderabad aspired to compete with global cities like Tokyo and Singapore and called on entrepreneurs to invest in Telangana and build globally competitive businesses. He said the State divided its development strategy into three regions, including CURE (Core Urban Region Economy), PURE (Peri-Urban Region Economy) and RARE (Rural Agriculture Region Economy), to achieve sector-specific growth.
Revanth Reddy praised Indian youth for competing globally in technology and space exploration. He urged business associations to help younger generations understand emerging commercial trends and learn from successful entrepreneurs. He also stressed the need to encourage women entrepreneurs and said the government would extend support to investors.
The two-day summit is being organised by the Samakhya Chamber of Commerce.
