Telangana: Rowdy-sheeters counselled by police in Mancherial
Ramagundam Commissioner of Police Srinivasulu advised the rowdy-sheeters not to involve in any crimes or group fights at the instigation of anyone from this day
Mancherial: Ramagundam Commissioner of Police M Srinivasulu warned that stringent action would be taken against those who indulged in unlawful activities. He conducted a counselling programme for rowdy-sheeters here on Tuesday.
Speaking on the occasion, Srinivasulu advised the rowdy-sheeters not to involve in any crimes or group fights at the instigation of anyone from this day. “If you are involved in future crimes, you will have to spend your entire life in jail as per the law,” he warned.
The objective of conducting the counselling was to get rid of your criminal tendencies and establish a good livelihood with your family members and improve your behavior, he added.
The commissioner told the rowdy-sheeters not to fall prey to temporary pleasures and become criminals. You can be called to the police station every day. Police would visit your houses day and night and check you. A special team would keep a watch on you and your activities, with the help of modern technology, he cautioned.
The IPS officer asked them not to commit any crime even if someone promises to back you up. He said that those who have committed crimes in the past should leave their criminal tendencies and continue with good behavior in society.
They would be given an opportunity to alter their behavior. The rowdy-sheet would be closed if they did not indulge in an offence in any offence in 10 years.
Mancherial DCP A Bhaskar, ACP R Prakash, his counterpart from Jaipur Venkateshwarlu, special branch ACP Raghavendra Rao, Inspectors Pramod Rao, Narender, Ravinder, Shashidhar Reddy, Devaiah, Afzaluddin, Naresh Kumar and sub-inspectors were present.
