Telangana: Sammakka Sarakka Central Tribal University gets its first Vice-Chancellor
The Central government appoints Prof. Lakshmi Srinivas Yedavalli from Aurora Higher Education and Research Academy, Hyderabad, as VC of Central Tribal University

Hyderabad: The Central Government on Tuesday appointed Prof. Lakshmi Srinivas Yedavalli from Aurora Higher Education and Research Academy, Hyderabad, as the first Vice-Chancellor of the Sammakka Sarakka Central Tribal University, Mulugu. The Union Ministry of Education has issued an order to this effect.
The Sammakka Sarakka Central Tribal University was established by an Act of Parliament – Act 36 in Mulugu in 2023. The university offers UG, PG and doctoral programmes.
A total 335.04 acres of land has been allocated by the State government for the varsity, which is presently operating from a transit campus located in Jakaram village near to Mulugu district headquarters till the construction of the permanent campus.
