Hyderabad: Telangana school students can enjoy a nearly 50-day summer vacation. The School Education department has announced April 23 as the last working day for the academic year 2025-26.
The schools will break for the summer vacation from April 24 to June 11, with reopening for the academic year 2026-27 is scheduled for June 12.
Prior to the vacation, the schools will hold the summative assessment (SA) – II examinations, which have now been advanced to April 8. Earlier, the exams for Classes I to IX were scheduled from April 10
The department rescheduled the SA-II exams in view of the Telangana Open School Society’s (TOSS) SSC and Intermediate Public Examinations. The SA-II exams, as per the revised schedule, will conclude on April 18.
“While the SA-II exams have been advanced due to TOSS exams, there is no change in the summer vacation schedule,” said a senior official.
After examinations, answer scripts will be evaluated and results are recorded. In addition, the schools will hold the parent-teacher meeting before the academic year concludes.
