Hyderabad: In view of the protest called by Sarpanches demanding immediate payment of their pending bills and call for lay siege of the Mahatma Jyothiba Pule Praja Bhavan, heavy security has been deployed here on Tuesday.

According to sources, precautionary measures were taken after receiving information that the Sarpanchs were planning to stage a dharna demanding immediate payment of their pending bills.

Following this, police officials have stepped up the security at the Praja Bhavan. Additional police force was deployed and barricades were erected.

Even the common people who came to submit petitions on their problems were reportedly not allowed to enter into the Bhavan. “It is a regular procedure to deploy sufficient force at the Praja Bhavan.

However, depending on specific inputs, we will ensure the availability of additional force, ” said a police officer from Punjagutta.
