Telangana sees 592 new Covid infections, three fatalities

Hyderabad: Telangana has recorded 592 new Covid-19 infections and three fatalities on Saturday taking the overall toll to 1,513 and the cumulative number of positive cases so far to 2,81,414. As on Saturday, there were 6,888 active Covid-19 cases in the State.

A total of 643 persons recovered on Saturday taking the cumulative Covid-19 recoveries in the State to 2,73,013 with a recovery rate of 97.01 per cent, while the countrywide recovery rate was 95.5 per cent.


Between Friday and Saturday, 41,970 Covid tests were conducted in the State while reports of another 515 samples were awaited. So far, a total of 64,43,052 Covid-19 tests have been conducted in the State out of which 2,81,414 have tested positive and 2,73,013 persons have recovered.

The Covid-19 positive cases reported from the districts included 11 from Adilabad, 14 from Bhadradri, 119 from areas under GHMC, 12 from Jagtiyal, seven from Jangaon, nine from Bhupalpally, three from Gadwal, seven from Kamareddy, 26 from Karimnagar, 20 from Khammam, three from Asifabad, 10 from Mahabubnagar, eight from Mahabubabad, 13 from Mancherial, seven from Medak, 70 from Medchal Malkajgiri, seven from Mulugu, 12 from Nagarkurnool, 18 from Nalgonda, one from Narayanpet, four from Nirmal, 13 from Nizamabad, 18 from Pedapalli, six from Siricilla, 57 from Rangareddy, 11 from Sangareddy, 20 from Siddipet, 14 from Suryapet, six from Vikarabad, five from Wanaparthy, seven from Warangal Rural, 40 from Warangal Urban, 14 from Yadadri.
