Telangana: Siddipet AE suspended for demanding bribe from contractor

Siddipet: Siddipet Collector K. Hymavathi has suspended Siddipet Rural Mandal Housing AE Chinthala Venkaiah for allegedly demanding a Rs 50,000 bribe from a contractor working on Indiramma Houses in the mandal.

Following a complaint from the contractor, the Collector ordered an inquiry and appointed Zilla Parishad CEO Ramesh as the inquiry officer. After the inquiry report confirmed the allegations, Hymavathi took action against the officer.
