Siddipet: Sididpet police on Monday cracked the mystery behind the firing and stealing of Rs 43.5 lakh cash from a realtor at the Sub-registrar office in the town with the arrest of four persons.
When Realtor Vakulabaranam Narasaiah, a resident of Siddipet town, sold a 176-square yard plot to one Anil Kumar Reddy, Narasaiah came to the registration office to accept the cash and register the land on January 31. While his driver Parushuramulu was waiting outside the registration office keeping the cash bag in the car, the accused fired a round at him and took away the cash bag, containing Rs 43.5 lakh cash, from him.
Commissioner of Police N Swetha constituted 15 special teams to solve the case immediately. The police, who cracked the case within a week, recovered Rs 34 cash, two bikes, one car, and three mobile phones from them.
Speaking to the media here, the Commissioner of Police said the accused Gajja Raju (26) and Yadama Sai Kumar (22), residents of Bandlaguda Keesara in Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district, along with his two friends Balipuram Karunakar (28) and Bigulla Vamshi Krishna (20) hatched the plan.
The CP said that Sai Kumar, who fell in love with a minor girl, took the help of Raju, a native of Mangol in Kondapak Mandal. As the police registered a POCSO case against them, Sai Kumar and Raju were pushed into deep financial trouble, she said. To come out their problems, she said they had hatched the plan to steal the cash from some persons. After tracking the movement of people at the registration office in Siddipet on January 31, they have fired driver Parushuramulu and stolen the cash from them.
The Police were still investigating to find out from where the accused purchased the pistol. The Commissioner has appreciated the entire Police team and IT Cell wing for cracking the case so early.
