Telangana: Singur project crest gates closed as inflows drop
All crest gates of the Singur multipurpose project in Sangareddy were closed as inflows fell to 4,114 cusecs. The reservoir currently holds 16.623 TMCft, with storage capped at 16.5 TMCft on National Dam Safety Authority advice

Sangareddy: All crest gates of the Singur multipurpose project were closed by irrigation officials on Monday evening as inflows fell to 4,114 cusecs. TSGenco, however, continued power generation by releasing 2,228 cusecs downstream.
The first gate was lifted on August 13, with the number later rising to five as inflows surged past 40,000 cusecs.
Currently, the reservoir holds 16.623 TMCft against a full capacity of 29.91 TMCft. Following the advice of the National Dam Safety Authority, officials have capped the storage at 16.5 TMCft for this year.
