Telangana SIR: Hyderabad district draft electoral rolls published with 27.95 lakh voters

Hyderabad District Election Officer R V Karnan said draft electoral rolls containing 27,95,225 voters were published on Monday under the Special Intensive Revision 2026. Electors can verify their names and file claims or objections by September 16.

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad District Election Officer, RV Karnan, on Monday said the Hyderabad district electoral draft rolls were published with a total of 27,95,225 draft voters as part of the ‘Special Intensive Revision’ of the electoral rolls 2026.

In an all-party meeting held in Hyderabad on Monday, Karnan said that the draft photo electoral rolls of 15 Assembly constituencies of Hyderabad district were published on Monday in the manner prescribed in Form-5, in accordance with the Registration of Electors Rules, 1960.

Out of 27,95,225 electors, male electors were 13,86,536, female electors were 14,08,513, third-gender electors were 176, total polling stations were 4,094 and total polling station locations were 1,710 in Hyderabad district.

Karnan urged electors to verify their names in the draft electoral rolls available at the ERO office or on the ECI website https://voters.eci.gov.in or on the CEO’s website www.ceotelangana.nic.in or by downloading the Voters Helpline App.

Any claim for the inclusion of a name in the roll, objection to the inclusion of a name or objection to particulars in any entry should be lodged on or before September 16, in Form-6, 7 or 8 along with the Declaration Form (only for Form-6 and 8), he said.

DEO Karnan said that out of 47,36,669 electors, 19,41,444 electors were found to have uncollectable enumeration forms and anomalies were noticed in 6,72,700 enumeration forms.
