Telangana SIR: What electors need to know before final roll

The Telangana Chief Electoral Office has begun serving SIR notices to electors whose enumeration forms have anomalies or lack mapping with the SIR 2002 list. Claims and objections can be filed until September 16, with the final roll due October 19

Hyderabad: The Telangana Chief Electoral Office (CEO) has recently commenced serving SIR notices to electors who had anomalies in their enumeration forms or could not map themselves with the SIR 2002 list.

Here is the timeline that you need to know before the final electoral roll is published in the State.

– Electors have an opportunity to raise claims and objections on the draft electoral roll until September 16

– Notice phase/disposal of claims and objections will continue until October 15

– The final electoral roll will be published on October 19

– Total electors: 3,38,26,448

– Electors who submitted enumeration forms: 2,64,87,213

– Total No. of Electors under the Absent, Shifted, Dead and Double votes (ASDD): 73,39,235

– Electors with anomalies: 60,50,918

– Electors with no SIR 2002 list mapping: 32,36,659
