Telangana: SIT to hold meeting with investigating officers handling online betting cases
To review investigation in existing cases, develop SoPs and guide IOs in all aspects of investigation

Hyderabad: The Special Investigation Team (SIT), constituted by the State government under the supervision of Crime Investigation Department Director General Shikha Goel, held its first meeting to chart its future course of action on Thursday.
It was decided to call all investigating officers handling online betting cases across the State for a meeting along with their case files and relevant information in a prescribed format.
“The SIT will review investigation in existing cases, develop SoPs and guide IOs in all aspects of investigation. This will be followed by meetings with various other stakeholder agencies,” Shikha Goel said.
The five-member SIT has been tasked with conducting a comprehensive and time-bound investigation (90 days) into all online betting cases specifically assigned or transferred to it.
The meeting was attended by all members of the SIT, M. Ramesh, Inspector General of Police, Provisions and Logistics, Ch Sindhu Sharma, SP Intelligence, K.Venkata Lakshmi, SP, EOW, CID, S. Chandrakanth, Addl. SP and M. Shanker, DSP, EOW, CID.
