Medak: Six persons of a family were injured as two families clashed with each other over a land dispute at Timmapur village in Shivvampet mandal late on Wednesday night.
According to locals, two brothers Balaiah and Bikshapathi were living in adjacent houses in the village. One of them objected to the other drilling a borewell, which sparked the clash.
When the village went into a deep sleep after the argument between the families, Bikshapathi, his sons Prasad and Raju attacked his brother Balaiah, wife Anjamma, sons Narsimhulu, Yadagiri and two others persons with sickles and axes. The condition of Yadagiri and Anjamma is critical.
All the injured were rushed to the Gandhi Hospital after providing first aid in a local hospital. The clash created tension in the village.
The police deployed forces to keep the situation in control. The police reportedly took the accused into custody. A probe is on.
