Telangana sports body to engage retired officials for development
Sports Authority of Telangana chairman Shivasena Reddy said retired officials who served sincerely will be engaged to promote sports. He praised cycling coach and Deputy Director G Chandra Reddy for his 37 years of service, during which Telangana produced 225 national medallists

Hyderabad: Sports Authority of Telangana chairman Shivasena Reddy said that the services of retired personnel in the SATG who discharged their duties with honesty and dedication would be considered for the right purpose to promote and develop sports in a big way in the State.
Speaking at the farewell function of well-known coach and Deputy Director G Chandra Reddy at Osmania University cycling velodrome here, Shivasena appreciated Chandra Reddy for his “commitment and passion for 37 years as cycling coach and then as an administrator.”
“The fact that the State produced 225 national-level medallists in different categories during his tenure is a testimony of his efficiency,” the SATG chairman said. “Chandra Reddy played a key role in the successful conduct of the CM Cup 2024,” he added.
Sports Authority Administrative Officer Anita, Deputy Directors Ravinder, Special Officer Bhasha, retired Deputy Directors Shobha, Janardhan Reddy and Manohar, Telangana Olympic Association Secretary Malla Reddy, administrators Nandakishore, Gokul, Sudhakar Rao, Venkateswara Rao, Kannam Madhu, Public Relations Officer Kaleru Suresh, along with several coaches, Sports Authority staff, retired coaches and retired employees were among those who attended.
