Hyderabad: The process of allocation and transfer of employees to the new local cadres has reached its final stage. As per the Presidential Order, the allotment of employees was taken up under the new zonal system and the process has been completed in eight districts. The remaining employees are expected to receive their orders by Thursday evening.

The exercise of allotment of zonal level and multi-zonal level posts, is expected to be completed in a couple of days. The officials have been asked to report in their new posting within a week. The process is being carried out through the web portal of Integrated Financial Management and Information System (IFMIS) of Telangana State smoothly. Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar is overseeing the entire process in consultation with the authorities concerned and the representatives of employees and teachers unions.

Official sources said the employees are being intimated through a SMS on their registered mobile phone about allotment of their local cadre. Accordingly, they are required to report for duty in their new postings within a week. After some teachers unions raised objections over discrepancies over seniority, spouse cases and other issues, the officials assured to look into them.

Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar issued orders on Wednesday making it clear that soon after receiving the proceedings of allocation, the employees must join the new local cadre first. Employees who applied for exemption on spouse grounds should apply in a prescribed format to the district Collector for district level posts and to the head of the department concerned for zonal and multi-zonal posts.

Accordingly, the applications will be submitted to the secretary concerned with their specific recommendation. Necessary decisions will be taken after duly examining the applications in this regard. Similar process will be followed for other cases including medical and physically challenged among others where their applications will be considered and disposed expeditiously.

Though the allocation process will be completed for teachers, their transfers will come into effect from June next year in order to avoid disruption of the academic year. Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao who is learnt to have reviewed the progress of employees’ allocation, has directed the officials to consider the requests of the employees and teachers unions in certain cases. Accordingly, the seniority of an employee is likely to be decided based on their joining date rather than seniority in their current posting.
