Hyderabad: Telangana startup ecosystem is garnering laurels not only nationally but internationally as well. The State’s standing in the startup ecosystem has been ranked among top 30 in four different categories globally in 2021.
The Global Startup Ecosystem Report (GSER) 2021 by Startup Genome and the Global Entrepreneurship Network put the youngest Indian State as the Top 15 Asian Ecosystem in Affordable Talent – which measures the ability to hire talent.
In addition, the State has been ranked as the Top 30 Asian Ecosystem in Performance, which measures the performance based on the tech startup value created from exits and funding. In terms of knowledge, which measures innovation through research and patent activity and talent and expertise – which measures ability to generate talent – the State has been ranked among the top 30 Asian Ecosystem.
Not just the ranking, the report also highlighted that the top reasons cited by startups to move to Telangana were the recruitment assistance and performance grants. And providing testimony to the growing activity in different sectors, the report says that Life Sciences and AI, Big Data and Analytics are highlighted for their density of talent, support resources, and startup activity.
