Telangana State Legal Services Authority tops in National Lok Adalat

In settlement of cases in second and third National Lok Adalats, the Telangana State Legal Services Authority secured number one position in the country apart from rendering services in payment of compensation to the litigants.

Hyderabad: Telangana State Legal Services Authority has topped in National Lok Adalat with record number of cases settled and in providing compensation to victims. The National Legal Services Day is observed on November 9.

In settlement of cases in second and third National Lok Adalats, the Telangana State Legal Services Authority secured number one position in the country apart from rendering services in payment of compensation to the litigants.


National Lok Adalats are conducted four times a year in all the States and union Territories with an objective to reduce burden on courts and provide speedy justice to the litigants. Here, pre-litigation cases, pending civil and criminal compoundable cases are also settled.

Lok Adalats also settle cases that are not registered before the courts / pre-litigation cases, criminal compoundable offences, traffic challans, revenue cases, bank recovery cases, motor accident claims, cheque bounce cases, labour disputes, matrimonial disputes excluding divorce cases, land acquisition cases and consumer matters.

In the State, for availing any type of free and speedy legal assistance in person or online, can apply to Mandal Legal Services Committees, District Legal Services Authorities, High Court Legal Services Committee and State Legal Services Authority, said a statement issued by Member Secretary, Telangana State Legal Services Authority, Ch.Panchakshari.

*Appointment of advocates on behalf of eligible persons who cannot afford

* Preparation of case details, appeal, memo

* Drafting of legal documents

* Providing legal advice/assistance through panel lawyers and para legal volunteers
