KARIMNAGAR: Students, who are usually seen busy with their books or mobile phones, on Monday surprised customers at the Rythu Bazaar here, where they were seen selling vegetables for a change.
Besides weighing vegetables, they tried to attract customers at the Kashmirgadda Rythu Bazaar.
In order to develop business skills among the students, the district education department in cooperation with the Janya Foundation organised a model vegetable market on Monday.
Vegetables grown in various government schools adopting organic farming methods were sold at the model market, which was inaugurated by Collector Pamela Satpathy.
Speaking on the occasion, the Collector advised students to develop business skills besides excelling in studies.
It was possible to get good results if transactions were done in the market following business skills.
Emphasizing the need to explain the importance of organic products, she wanted the students to educate their parents about growing vegetables and other products using organic methods.
