Hyderabad: Wanaparthy scored an easy 4-0 win against Warangal in the 12th Telangana State sub-junior girls football championship at Nizamabad Police Grounds on Friday.
E. Jagrithi struck the first goal in the second minute while M. Sreenikhi Laksh scored a brace in the eighth and 15th minutes and K. Indu Priya netted the fourth goal in the 12th minute.
In another match, Ranga Reddy defeated Adilabad 2-1 with Dhruthi scoring two goals for the winners while E. Rithika reduced the margin for the losers.
Earlier, Mr. Sai Chaitanya, Nizamabad Police Commissioner, and Nizamabad Mayor Umarani Mudiraj graced the inaugural function.
