Accused officer, Parvatham Ramakrishna, a senior assistant at the district registrar office in Warangal, acting as in-charge Sub-Registrar, demands Rs 20,000 to process gift registration of property of complainant and his elder brother

Jangaon: ACB sleuths have trapped a Sub-Registrar and his private assistant at the Sub-Registrar Office at Station Ghanpur in the district on Thursday.

According to ACP DSP Sambaiah, the accused officer, Parvatham Ramakrishna, a senior assistant at the district registrar office, Warangal, acting as in-charge Sub-Registrar, demanded Rs 20,000 to process the gift registration of a property of the complainant and his elder brother.

Ramakrishna received the bribe amount from the complainant through his private assistant A Ramesh.

The tainted money was recovered from the possession of the private assistant.

Both the accused would be arrested and produced before the special court for SPE and ACB Cases, Warangal, the DSP said.
